Notes for: James Lee "Jim" Reed

James "Jim" Reed retired from the U. S. Navy in 1972 after 20 years of service. Jim was a member of Post #2408 VFW West Union. He served as West Union's policeman for six years and was a deputy sheriff. He retired from the W.V. Department of Highway. He was instrumental in starting Doddridge County T-Ball as well as Doddridge County Little League. Jim was a basketball coach for grades school 7th & 8th grades and won the division in 1986. He served as President of the Doddridge County Band Boosters for many years, during that time he was instrumental in a community fund raising event to enable the band to travel to Walt Disney World two times.
