Researchers differ on the sequence of Owen A. West's three wives. The dates of his marriages to Eva Palmer and Ellen Watton are verified through marriage records. His marital status at the time of his 1894 marriage to Eva Palmer was listed as single, and at his 1900 marriage to Ellen Watton as widowed. Census records of 1920 and 1930 show him with his wife Mary.
