Notes for: Violet Pearl Roberts

During a childhood illness, she lost most of her hearing, but she still attended and did well in school. After several operations as an adult, her hearing was partially restored. One of the high points of her life was when she went to beauty college and earned a beautician degree. During the extended terminal illness of her husband Commodore Husk, she took loving homecare of him both night and day. Violet had several serious illnesses during her life, but her determination and spirit always prevailed. She was attractive, strong-minded, earnest and good-willed. She never turned away the truly needy or looked down on anyone. She provided care for her ill relatives and took care of her aging father. She was a friend to all. During her lifetime she faced and overcome many more tribulations than most people.
