Local news item in the "Wilbur News" column of the "Doddridge County Republican," Thursday, Aug 31 1916, in its entirety:
"James Stubbs has torn down his old log house which is one of the old landmarks of Tyler County, erected by the late Bamberledge Ash. Mr. Stubbs has the material on the ground for a new residence."
