A Ph.D. and teacher of English at the Richmond Hill High School in New York City. Author of the book "Irving's Oliver Goldsmith: A Biography," published in 1903 by Ginn & Company. Also author of the book "Washington's Farewell Address and Webster's First Bunker Hill Oration," published in 1906 by The Athenaeum Press, Ginn & Company. He and his wife, Edith Fales Gaston, also published in 1927 a collection of biographical readings for high school students, entitled "Modern Lives."
