Notes for: Ernestine Iantha Smith

Iantha S. Whittaker, 100, of Miami, FL, died May 27, 2011 at the home of her grandson in Gainesville. Resident of South Miami since 1949 and widow of astronomer Gerald Whittaker. Graduate of the Peabody Conservatory of Music and University of Miami, taught piano and French to several generations. Devoted to her family and friends acquired in her world travels and chamber music circles, to whom she opened her home for 60 years.
