L. HESS JAMES
L. Hess James, aged 80, a former resident of Central District, near the Deep Valley section, and one of the best known merchants, farmer and hucksters in this section, died at the home of his son, Lawrence D. James, at Parkersburg, December 18th of complications.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the U.B. church in Greenwood, and burial was made in the Duckworth cemetery. Rev. Melvin Hollingsworth in charge.
The following children survive: Ronald James, of Deep Valley; Mrs. Stella Fullmer, of Morgantown; Mrs. Bessie Moore; and the son, L. D. James, at whose home he died. His wife died a few years ago.
