Notes for: Lucy Pauline McCauley

Pauline had many careers throughout her life, serving as a pastor's wife, Doddridge County Community Educational Outreach Service, owned and operated the Z&Z Florist in New Matamoras, Ohio, Park tours Bus Guide, Doddridge County Deputy sheriff, Spurgeon Funeral Home, and a caregiver as a graduate of the first Nursing Assistant Class from Mountain State college of Parkersburg.

She loved to sing, performing in operettas as a child, as a member of the All State Chorus in High School, the Jubilant trio and church choirs. She enjoyed entertaining many by performing her clown ministry. She tied for the 1993 Ms. WV Senior Pageant being crowned first runner-up after a coin toss and was the 1994 Belle of Doddridge County.

She was a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church and served as President and Treasurer of the United Methodist Women, Treasurer of the Doddridge county United Methodist Parish, President and Treasurer of the United Methodist Ministers' Spouses. Weston District Lay Speaker, President and Treasurer of the Senior Citizen Center Activities Club. She was a member of the Night Owls, OES West Union Chapter 56, Doddridge County Medical Center Board of Directors and the Doddridge County Humane Society Board of directors. She worked on election boards and served ten years in the West Virginia Silver Haired Legislature in Charleston.
