Middle initial given as "A" in 1870 Census and in 1870 marriage record, but as "I" in 1889 marriage record and 1900 Census. No initial given in other census records, in death record, in her obituary, or on her headstone.

Local news item, "Doddridge County Republican," Thursday, Aug 24 1916, in its entirety:
"We are indebted to Mrs. L. W. Husk of Doe Run for a very fine yellow tomato, well formed and weighing a trifle over two pounds. It is of a variety called the Jersey, and is said to be of exceptionally fine flavor."
