Notes for: Carol Jean Greathouse

Carol Jean (Greathouse) Shackelford, 80, of Painesville Township passed away on Oct. 11, 2013, at her home.
She was born in Wildcat, W.Va., to Vallie and Henry Greathouse.

Carol was a homemaker and enjoyed canning and gardening. She was an avid reader and enjoyed word search.

She is survived by her children, Carolyn Carder (Mel Muntzing) of Clarksburg, W.Va., Wilma Shackelford of Painesville, Evelyn Greathouse of New Milton, John (Stella) Shackelford of Painesville, Virginia (John) New of Geneva, Mary (Roger) Long of West Union, Debra Osborne of Geneva, Richard (Mary Jo) Shackelford of West Union, Barbara Shackelford of Painesville, David (Nicole) Shackelford of Ashtabula, Daniel (Jaclyn) Shackelford of Geneva, Mitchell Shackelford of Painesville, Roger Greathouse <<=== brother??? of West Union, WV; grandchildren, Traci, Joe, Brian, Della, Delilah, Angela, Denver, Eric, Danny Paul, Wendy, Jason, Dana, Kristin, Cody, Joe, Scott, Josh, Jeremy, Sierra, Sammy, Sarah, Nina, Dale; 14 great grandchildren; fourgreat great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; sons, Paul Allen and Charles, two brothers, four sisters and an infant brother.

Visitation will be held Monday 4-8PM at the McCullough Funeral Home.
Funeral on Tuesday 1PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Spurgeon Cemetery, Doddridge County.
Arrangements are being handled by Potti Funeral Home, 1009 Mentor Ave., Painesville and the McCullough Funeral Home, Pennsboro.
