Owner and operator of the Crystal Confectionary, and was a deacon of the Baptist Church in West Union, and was later ordained as a Baptist minister. Employed by the Dravo Company in Pennsylvania until his retirement. [obituary]

"Leland Hickman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hickman, left Saturday morning for Akron, Ohio, where he has accepted a position as bookkeeper with the Goodrich Rubber Company."
