Notes for: Elijah Musgrave
According to a Wilmington monthly Quaker meeting, on July 16, 1777, Elijah Musgrave was disowned by the Quaker society: "Hath so far erred as to remove to a distant part without taking the advice of friends and without a certificate, and accomplished his marriage before a magistrate to his first cousin." From this it can be concluded that the maiden name of his wife Basheba was probably also Musgrave, but there is no indication in those records as to exactly who her father was.
