In the 1910 Census of Nicholas County, Franklin C. Helmick, 55, widowed, newspaper printer, was one of several roomers in a hotel in Richwood. In the 1930 Census of El Paso County, Colorado, Franklin C. Helmick, 75, b. WVa, widowed, was one of many patients at Union Printers Home (www.unionprintershome.org) in Colorado Springs. In the 1910 Census, George Helmick, age 12, was listed as a foster child in the home of Samuel E. Sheets and his wife Ida (Bond) Sheets.)
