1910 Census, Doddridge Co, WV (Central District), enumerated on Apr 15 1910:
Daniel F. (sic) Mason, 42, farmer, married 11 yrs; wife Maud, 30, married 11 yrs, mother of 3 children (all still living); dau Flossie M, 10; son Berkley, 8; son Greeley, 7; no relationship Earnest Caldwell, 2.
(NOTE: Ernest Caldwell was a son of Charles H. & Myrtle (Richards) Caldwell, who were enumerated with their other children in their own household in Central District of Doddridge County. The relationship between the two families, and the reason that Ernest was not with his own family as he was in 1920, is not known.)
Local news item, "Doddridge County Republican," Thursday, Oct 5 1916, in its entirety:
"D. T. Mason of Pennsboro, who still owns a valuable farm at Greenwood, stopped off here Saturday on his return from Clarksburg, where he had taken two hundred head of cattle which he had taken up for Lee Maxwell, a prominent Harrison County stockman."
