1940 Census, Tyler Co, WV (Centerville District), enumerated on Apr 24 1940 at Wilbur (within the same household were what appeared to be three family units):
Head of household Albert Keys, 65, farm manager; wife Ina, 22; son Robert, 5; Head of household Henry F. Mason, 70, farm laborer; wife Eliza, 53; Head of household Alfred Britton, 20, farm laborer; wife (sic) Florence, 16.
NOTE: Florence should be listed as Alfred's sister, not his wife. Florence, Alfred and Ina are all children of Eliza Mason (Emma Elizabeth Gray, widow of James H. Britton). We have found no marriage record for Albert Keys and Ina Britton, nor for Henry F. Mason and Eliza. The name on Ina's headstone (shared with son Eugene S. Keys) is Ina G. Britton. The name on Eliza's headstone is Emma Elizabeth Britton Mason.
