Albert M. Greathouse, 36, farmer; wife Mary F, 33; son Benjamin F, 11; son Perry P, 7; dau Alice V, 9; son Albert, 5; son William H, 3; son Augustus, 1.
(Note: The sequence of the children and their respective ages are given here exactly as they were written in the census. It appears that the entries for son Perry and dau Alice are in error, since Alice is known from her death record to have been born in Jul 1869, and Perry is known from his obituary to have been born in Sep 1871.)

Albert M. Greathouse, b. Aug 1837, farmer, married 35 yrs; wife Mary F, b. Mar 1847, mother of 10 children (9 still living); son William H, b. Nov 1876; son Loyd L, b. Jun 1880; son George, b. Dec 1882; son Freeman, b. Apr 1884.
The adjoining household is for Augustus Greathouse, b. Aug 1878, farmer, married one year; wife Ida J, b. Mar 1878, no children.
1910 Census, Doddridge County WV (New Milton District), enumerated on Apr 18-20 1920:
Albert M. Greathouse, 69, farmer, married 56 yrs; wife Mary F, 66, married 56 yrs, mother of 10 children, 9 still living.
Item in the column "County Court Proceedings," in the "Doddridge County Republican," Thursday, Apr 29 1915:
"Inasmuch as the office of overseer of the poor in New Milton District is declared vacant, it is ordered that A. M. Greathouse be appointed overseer of the poor for said district."
