The obituaries of both Gladys and Larent have their last name spelled Snyder throughout, but SSDI has it Snider for both him and her, as well as for his brother. His birth record and both Draft Registrations identify him as Larent Snider. The marriage record for Larent & Gladys has it spelled Snider, while the marriage record for daughter Opal has it spelled Snyder. The obituary of their son Thomas spells his own name Snyder, but his parent's name Snider. Although Larent's headstone has the spelling Snider, the accompanying military grave marker spells it Snyder. In the 1930 Census, he is identified as Larence Snyder.
