NOTE: Though not specifically identified as such, William Poland's position in the Israel Duckworth household appears to be that of a foster son. It is on that basis that we include him as a child of that family. A provision in Israel Duckworth's will states as follows: "I further will and devise that of the proceeds of the estate herein devised to my said wife, that she is to give for the support of Wm. Polan, if he should need it, the amount of five hundred dollars, as she may deem it best for him."
