Notes for: Icy Mae Hileman

Newspaper article (Pennsboro News, 12/20/2006) describing a family reunion identified him as Robert Anderson Jones, and 1880 Census lists him as Robert A. Jones. But marriage record and obituary both have it as Robert E. Jones, as do the 1910, 1920 and 1930 censuses.

1910 Census, Doddridge Co, WV (Southwest District), enumerated on Apr 18 1910:
Robert E. Jones, 38, farm worker, married 10 yrs; wife Isa M, 27, mother of 6 children (5 still living); son Walsie V, 9; son Ira, 8; dau Brica, 5; dau Pearle, 4; dau May, 1 month.

1920 Census, Doddridge Co, WV (Southwest District), enumerated on Jan 26 1920:
Robert E. Jones, 48, widowed, salesman at dry goods store; son Walsie L, 19; son Ira, 17; dau Bricie L, 15; dau Dafna P, 13; dau Wilma L, 9; son Irla V, 6; dau Icie E, 4y 8m; dau Lola F, 2y 8m.

1930 Census, Doddridge Co, WV (Southwest District), enumerated on Apr 7 1930 on Lower Run Road:
Robert E. Jones, 58, widowed, farmer; son Ira, 26; son Varen A, 16; dau Goldie E, 15; dau Lola F, 13; son-in-law Alfred E. McCloy, 23, farm laborer; dau Wilma L. McCloy, 19.
