(NOTE: Doddridge County birth records show that John Lovett was born on Sep 2 1874, son of M. J. Lovett & Mary Brown. No marriage record for that couple has been found, and it is likely that they never married. John appeared in the 1900 Census of Cove District, listed as nephew John Brown in the household of his uncle George A. Brown. In subsequent censuses and other records he was known almost exclusively as John T. Brown.)

In the 1900 Census, Henry Brown, widower, was enumerated in the household of his son George.
