      Bruce B. Langfitt, 36, salesman at general store, married one year; wife Marion, 32, mother of one child (still living); dau Catherine, 11 months.

      Local news item, "West Union Record," Thursday, Dec 28 1916, in its entirety:
      "B. B. Langfitt, who has had charge of a store for a lumber company at Rapp, Mingo County, for three and a half years, is home, having closed up the business there. He is visiting his mother at Salem and was here Tuesday. He met with splendid success there and the company wants him to go to a new location with them."
