Sep 1885, farm laborer; son Grover C, 12, b. Mar 1888, farm laborer; dau Selvy A, 10, b. Mar 1890; dau Ida M, 5, b. May 1895; dau Rosa N, 3, b. Jul 1896; son (unnamed), b. Mar 1900. All born in West Virginia.
Married:
- A marriage license was issued in Doddridge County on 26 Apr 1897 for Henry Allen (42) and Effie Moore (20). Informants for the license were Henry Allen and Gemima Moore. But there was no minister's return and no documentation that they were ever married. However, they did appear together as a married couple in the 1900 Census, indicateing six years of marriage, along with several children.
