    • Death record in Jan 1933 gives age as 67 and specifies birth date as Mar 1 1865. Age 11 in 1880 Census would put birth in about 1869, as would age 24 at time of his marriage on Apr 29 1893. Since the Census places him chronologically between sisters Sarepta (age 13) and Sarah (age 9), we find the 1869 birth date more likely. Doddridge County birth records show a Ruber (sic) Vincent born Mar 1 1868, son of William & Margrett Vincent. The record is in the form of a typed ledger transcribed from the original handwritten record, and the possibility cannot be discounted that this is the same child.

      Identified as Reubin Henry Vincent, b. Mar 1 1865 at Morgansville, son of Sanford Vincent & Margaret Richards, d. Jan 15 1933 at Wallace, age 67y 10m 14d. This date of birth is six months before the marriage of his parents. Researcher Gaylene Kerr Banister reports his birth date as Apr 1 1868, basis not known. His stated age at time of his Apr 1893 marriage was 24, which would put his birth in about 1869.
