| Notes |
- Local news item, "West Union Herald," Thursday, Jan 25 1917, in its entirety:
"Walt Skinner, of Adamston, was here Monday looking after business affairs. Walt was formerly a familiar figure on our traders alley, at big public gatherings. Like a great many other things of the olden times, our traders alley is known no more."
(NOTE: Since we have found no other Doddridge County connection, it is possible that this pertains to a different Walt Skinner. It is noted, however, that the location of his daughter's wedding was in Adamston.)
