- Birth date given in marriage record, death record, Social Security records and elsewhere as 9 Nov 1939. But he did not appear with his family in the 1940 Census, and he was age 9 in the 1950 Census, thus putting his birth in about 1941 or late 1940. His death record states his birthplace as Clarksburg (Harrison County), but in his marriage record he stated his birthplace as Big Battle in Doddridge County. We have found no birth record for him.
