(2) Page 198, entries for Grant District of Harrison County, the child is identified as Alfaretta, white female, born alive as a single birth in January 1889 (date not specified). Father: H. J. Gaston, farmer. Mother: Annie L. Informant: Father. (NOTE: The existence and misinterpretation of these multiple entries has resulted in the one birth being incorrectly reported by genealogists as the birth of twins having similar names. While her name appears in her marriage record as Alpha Louise Gaston, she is identified in her daughter's marriage record as Alpharetta Gaston.)
