    • Birth date given in 1900 Census as July 1866 and in death record as July 4 1866. But date on headstone is July 1867, and obituary specifies July 4 1867. But age 1 in 1870 Census puts it in about 1869.

Death 29 Mar 1941  Doddridge Co, WV Find all individuals with events at this location  [2, 3]
    • The death date of Jan 29 1941 entered in his death record is incorrect. That was the date on which he was last attended to by a physician. His obituary in the "West Union Herald" of Thursday, Apr 3 1941, states that he "died Saturday morning," which equates to March 29 1941, and that his funeral was held on Monday, which would have been March 31 1941. This is confirmed by his death record, which indicates a burial date of March 31 1941. The death record itself was filed on Apr 9 1941.
