    • Death date of 1939 appearing on Francis Marion "Bud" Jackson's headstone is incorrect, based on 1936 date specified in death record. Headstone birth date of 1856 appears also to be in error, since age 81y 1m given in death record would put birth in March 1855; but the death record then specifies birth date as March 6 1853. Age 18 given in the 1870 Census would put birth in about 1852, and age 27 in 1880 puts it in about 1853, while age 38 given at time of May 1893 marriage would put it in about 1855.

      Identified as Francis M. Jackson, widowed, farmer, son of Richard & Rachel Jackson, died (date blank) at Blandville, age 81y 1m, buried Apr 6 1936 at the Seventh Day Baptist Cemetery, Blandville. Informant: Mrs. Brooke Kelley. The corresponding WV death certificate, which shows death date as Apr 4 1936, also states age as 81y 1m, but then specifies birth date as March 6 1853.
