    1. [S1553] Doddridge County Birth Records, West Union, WV, BR Bk 4, p. 105, and BR Bk Del-1, p. 103.
There are two birth records on file for this person in Doddridge County. BR 4-105 identifies him as Hugh Edward Leggett, b. Apr 5 1923 at West Union, son of John Dewey Leggett & Nora Scott [sic]. A delayed entry at Bk Del-1, p. 103, filed by the mother on Dec 10 1940, identifies him as Hugh Edward Leggett, b. Apr 5 1923 at Auburn, son of John Dewey Leggett (resident of West Union) and Nora Stout (resident of Conings), this being the mother's third child. The parents' different residences presumably pertains to the time of filing, rather than the time of the child's birth.
