      Identified as Wesley I. Farr, 30, b. Clinton Co Va, res. Nicholas Co; and Elizabeth McCue, 19, b. & res. in Nicholas Co. Married Oct 21 1875. (NOTE: This marriage record is a one-line entry in a ledger-style record book. The entries on the page are typewritten and appear in chronological order, from March 1819 to July 1877, leading to the conclusion that all entries were transcribed from the original handwritten records. Transcription errors would explain the several discrepancies contained within this record, the most obvious of which is the marriage date, nine years after the wife's death in May 1866. Other discrepancies are the husband's middle initial and his birthplace, well-documented elsewhere as being in Vermont. There is no Clinton County in Vermont, although Clinton County in northeastern New York borders on Vermont.)
