      Mr. Brent Gum and Miss Beulah Meek were united in marriage in the New Columbian Hotel parlor at one o'clock Tuesday afternoon, Rev. S. A. Jesse of Harlin officiating.
      The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. James Gum of Coldwater, who rank with the county's best and most prosperous citizens; the bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ves Meek of Avon, prominent and respected New Milton district folks.
