Although the wife of Christopher Pritchard II was originally identified as Sarah Gollathan, daughter of Martin Gollathan, further research by author Emily P. Cary has cast doubt on that conclusion. Martin Gollathan (also spelled Golathan, Golothan and Golorthum) and Christopher Pritchard II were parties to a land lease in Oct 1732, and Christopher II was named as beneficiary and an executor of Martin Gollathan's will the following month. Although quite possible, there is no conclusive evidence that Martin Gollathan had a daughter Sarah or that Sarah's surname was Gollathan.
