      Although they presumably intended to divorce, they never did. The following notice appeared in the West Union Herald of Mar 30 1939: "This is to notify all persons that I will not be responsible for any debts contracted by my wife Sarah E. Husk, as she has left me without just cause. HAROLD HUSK, Oxford, W. Va. Route 1." They remained separated for eight years until Harold's death in an automobile accident.
