- In 1962, Virginia and Al moved the family to Buckhannon. She quickly became active in her community where she touched many lives for the rest of her life. She was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church, volunteering in various capacities. Soon after her return to Buckhannon, she became active with the outreach of the Magic Closet. She was a Brownie Girl Scout leader and a 4-H Club leader, provided transportation for church sponsored kindergarten students, provided delivery service with Meals on Wheels, volunteered with the Read Aloud program at East Main Street School and was a member of the Emeritus Club of WVWC and Church Women United.
