(1) Harrison County Death Records, p. 118, list Mrs. Emma Leeson, age 17, married, d. Feb 16 1920 at Glenwood, cause of death influenza, informant Davis Undertaking Co. (2) The corresponding WV state death certificate (Register 4394) identifies her as Mrs. Emma Leeson, age 17, b. 1903, married, d. Feb 16 1920 at Glenwood in Mason County, cause of death influenza, buried at Greenlawn Cemetery, informant Davis Undertaking Co. of Clarksburg, date filed Mar 5 1920. All entries were typed except for the name of the county. (3) Harrison County Death Records, p. 119, list Emma Leeson, age 17, married, d. Sep 17 1920 at Adamston, cause of death influenza/pneumonia, informant husband. (4) The corresponding WV state death certificate (Register 2331) identifies her as Emma Leeson, age 17y 11m 25d, b. Sep 22 1902, parents unknown, d. Feb 17 1920 at Adamston in Harrison County, cause of death influenza pneumonia, informant husband residing in Adamston, certified by Dr. D. Leeson of Adamston, date filed Feb 24. All entries were handwritten, resulting in some uncertainty about the month of death, which at first glance appears to be "Sep," but which must be "Feb," in view of the filing date and the same handwritten "F" in the Female designation for her sex and a different "S" in September for her birth. Records (1) and (3) were also handwritten and appeared to have been an indexing of the state death records. It also appears that the same death was reported twice by different sources and with some conflicting details. All things considered, it is most likely that her death occurred on Feb 17 1920 at Adamston in Harrison County. [S1654] Harrison County Marriage Records, Clarksburg, WV, MR p. 191. Identified as Eli Leeson, single, 21, b. Doddridge Co, res. Adamston (Harrison Co), son of E. M. & D. J. Leeson; and Emma Knight, single, 21, b. Taylor Co, res. Harrison Co, dau of E. M. & Mary Knight. Married Aug 4 1919 in Clarksburg by J. H. Funk, M. E. Minister.
