      Text of pertinent portion of handwritten marriage record was as follows: "Clarksburg, June 7th 1838. No. of marriages performed by the undersigned during the last 9 months, viz. ... David W. Hansford & Julia Ann Cooper ..." Signed by T. Stinchcomb. Since the marriage bond for this marriage was executed in mid-December 1837, it is likely that the marriage itself occurred later that same month.

      Marriage bond for forthcoming marriage of David W. Hansford & Julia Ann Cooper was executed between David W. Hansford and Walter Ebert, relationship to the bride not indicated. Date appears to be Dec 13th 1837, but may be Dec 15th.
