    • Although her death record reflects a death date of Nov 24 1916, her obituary, published in the "West Union Record" of Thursday, Dec 28 1916, states that she died "last Wednesday at Greenwood." That would reflect a death date of Dec 20 1916. If the Wednesday reference is accurate, the Nov 24th date is incorrect, since Nov 24 1916 fell on a Thursday. Given these factors, and since it is unlikely that a local obituary would be printed a full month after a death, it is more likely that the death record is in error and that the Dec 20th death date is correct.
