- Don Norman's "Descendants of Robert Lowther" shows that George Lowther, son of Robert Lowther & Nancy Lowrey, married M. Gregory. This is believed to be incorrect, probably from confusion with a different George Lowther. On Oct 30 1862, George Lowther, 22, son of Robert & Eliza (Highland) Lowther and brother of Joanna Lowther, married Mahala Gregory in Harrison County. This also brings into question whether Robert and Nancy had children George and Jonna/Joanna at all, as Norman does not list them among the children of Robert & Elizabeth (Highland) Lowther.
