    Notes
    • Based on census records, Hannah was born as early as 1822 or as late as 1832, with her marriage record putting it in between at about 1826. Although the earliest record appears to be the most reliable, there still remains the conflict that Jonathan married Martha Howard in 1817, and Hannah's mother was reportedly Margaret.

1880 Census, Lewis Co, WV (Freemans Creek District), enumerated on Jun 26 1880:
William Frazier, 68, farmer, suffering from dropsy; wife Hannah, 50; sister-in-law Mariah, 41; nephew Nimrod, 16; nephew William G, 11; nephew Harvey L, 6.
(Note: The birthplace for everyone was West Virginia. The birthplace for Hannah's father was New Jersey, and Virginia for her mother, while the birthplace for both of Mariah's parents was listed as New Jersey. This is at variance from the Virginia birthplace that is found for Mariah's mother in her marriage record and all census records. It does lend credence, however, to the idea that Hannah was a half-sister to the rest of her father's children.)

The following enumeration pertains to William and his family with his first wife:
1850 Census, Harrison Co, Virginia (now West Virginia), enumerated on Aug 30 1850:
      William Frazier, 38, farmer, value of real estate $1,000; Jemima, 37, cannot read/write; Joseph, 17; Eliza, 15; John, 13; Abraham, 11; David, 9; Rebecca, 7; Albert, 5.

Identified as Wm Frashuer, widowed, farmer, 56, b. Harrison Co, res. Lewis Co, son of Nimrod & Sudney Frashuer; and Hannah Bee, single, 45, b. Preston Co, res. Doddridge Co, dau of Jonathan & Margaret. Married Sep 17 1871. (Note: We cannot reconcile Hannah's mother being identified as Margaret rather than Martha. Lacking evidence to the contrary, we conclude that it was a clerical error.)
