      David Trough, 60, farmer, value of real estate $1,000, value of personal estate $200; Susan, 50; Jacob, 30; Jonathan, 26; Martin, 24; Henry, 22; Cyrus, 21; Harriet, 17; William, 16; J. C. (male), 14; George, 12. All born in Pennsylvania except J. C. and George, born in Virginia.
      NOTE: This enumeration appears to have been done incorrectly, as it did not include the wives and children of married sons Jonathan and Martin.

      David K. Trough died on Dec 26 1869.

      1870 Census, Doddridge Co, WV (Grant Twp), enumerated on Jul 14 1870:
      Susan Trough, 59, value of real estate $2,000, value of personal estate $100, cannot write; William J, 23, common laborer, value of personal estate $200; Eveline, 23; George A, 20, common laborer, value of personal estate $150; Louisa Valentine, 22, domestic servant. All born in Virginia except Susan, born in Pennsylvania.
      NOTE: The next enumerated household was that of Susan's son Cyrus:
      Cyrus A. Trough, 30, common laborer, value of personal estate $500; Leah, 23; James Morrow, 21, common laborer, value of personal estate $300. All born in Virginia.

      On Dec 3 1876, Susan Trough married James M. Jimison (aka Jameson, Jamison) in Doddridge County. No record of him has been found after that date.

      In 1880 Susan Traugh, 69, widowed, was listed in the household of her son Cyrus in New Milton District, Doddridge County.

      Susan died on Apr 12 1888 and was identified in a probate document as Susan Gimison [sic]. But the name on her headstone is Sarah Trough. This is the only instance we have found of her being identified with the name Sarah.
