    • Some researchers report Mary Morris's middle name as Elizabeth. But 1880 Census lists her as Mary C. Morris, and her marriage record identifies her as Mary Charlotte Morris. As grandchildren of James Gaston & Charlotte Swisher, Hiter Stewart and Mary Charlotte Morris were first cousins. His name has also been reported as Hites Stewart.
