    • News item, "The Clarksburg Telegram," May 13, 1898:

"Rev. L. F. Randolph, of Hopkinton, R.I., is here taking treatment of his brother P. F. Randolph for stammering. Rev. Randolph has been in the ministry for twenty-five years or more and during that time there were portions of the scripture that he could not read publicly on account of not being able to speak various words and names. After taking treatment for four weeks he is so far improved that he can read with ease words that had been difficult for him before. He verily believes that a perfect cure will be effected."
