      "Howard and Evert Maxwell have begun the erection of two fine residences on Arnold's Creek. Each of the buildings will cost about $5000. Evert Maxwell's home will be on the old Flesher farm, and Howard Maxwell's home will be on the Ruley farm. Work was started the first of this week by the Sutton brothers who are the contractors."

      GUESTS OF REV. HICKMAN'S
      Mr. John Howard Maxwell and wife were the guests of Rev. Jno. T. Hickman and family, from Thursday Jan. 4 to Monday Jan. 8. Mrs. Maxwell is Rev. Hickman's second daughter. They live near West Union, where young Mr. Maxwell has established his home "Max Meade" one of the most beautifule places to live in this section of West Virginia. Mr. Maxwell is a large land owner, and is one of West Virginia's most energetic and successful farmers and cattle men."
