    1. [S1924] Social Security Death Index.
      Birthplace given as Cabell County in 1919 marriage record, but as Fayette County in 1939 marriage record, while obituary states that she was a native of Boone County. Birth records do not resolve the discrepancy, since there are two conflicting records of her birth on file. Cabell County birth records (p. 296) identify her as Virgie M. Killgore, white female, born Sep 11 1901 in the county, father John W. (farmer), mother Elizabeth E. Mitchell (age 20), this being the mother's second child. Fayette County birth records (p. 229) identify her as Virgie Kilgore, white female, born Oct 11 1901 in Boone, father J. W. Kilgore (miner, residence in Boone), mother Elizabeth Kilgore, informant mother. Obituary gives age as 98 withouth specifying birth date, while Social Security Death Index states birth date as Oct 11 1901.
