    1. [S1553] Doddridge County Birth Records, West Union, WV.
There are two entries for this birth, both showing Lena L. Hart born to Andrew & Emaline Hart. Birth Record Book 1, page 109, indicates a birth date of Aug 3 1880, while BR Bk 1, p. 115, shows a birth date of Sep 3 1881. Both entries are typewritten ledger entries transcribed from the original handwritten records. Since an Aug 1880 birth date is given in the 1900 Census, the Sep 1881 entry is presumed to be a clerical error.
