WORK IS PROGRESSING ON FLOOD LIGHTS HERE
J. Burlin Bates, maintenance supervisor for the Doddridge County Board of Education, reports that the work is progressing satisfactorily on the flood lights at the high school athletic field at West Union.
They have 75% of the material on hand at present, and the concrete basses for the poles have been completed.
The field will have eight 50-foot poles, with eight flood lights on each pole, making a total of 64 flood lights.
Plans are to have this work completed by the first of September.

COUNTY BUS GARAGE MOVED TO OLD HOPE OFFICE IN WABASH
J. Burlin Bates, school maintenance supervisor, has reported that the Doddridge County school bus garage has been moved from Doe Run site into the building vacated by the Hope Natural Gas Co., on Rt. 18 in Wabash.
The Doe Run location will be used for the new cannery. A building has begun already on this project in an effort to complete the work as quickly as possible.
