Son Thomas' birth date is shown on his headstone as Jan 27 1870, which conforms with his age entered on his death record. The exact relationship of Nona M. Smith and Walter A. Smith to this household is not clear. In the 1910 Census, Nona was enumerated in West Union as a housekeeper (employee) in the household of William S. & Lula (Smith) Heflin.)
