      NOTE: The apparent discrepancy between the wife's number of children reported and those actually listed by name is explained by the fact that the third child, Ray, was born on April 25, one week before the enumeration but ten days after the cutoff date for inclusion. The guidelines of the 1910 Census included the specific instruction to "name each person whose place of abode on April 15, 1910, was in this family," and to "include every person living on April 15, 1910. Omit children born since April 15, 1910."
