      A quiet wedding was solemnized last Friday night at 9 o'clock at the Lum Walton home in Fairview addition when Chap Powell claimed as his bride Miss Stella Thomas.
      Rev. K. H. Moyers of the U. B. church was the officiating minister.
      The groom is the son of Benjamin Powell of Arnolds Creek, and the bride is the daughter of Mrs. Betty Thomas of near the mouth of Long Run.
