86, of Wapello died at 6:30 a.m. Thursday, June 12, 2008, at his brother-in-law's residence in Burlington.
Born Aug. 4, 1921, in West Union, W. Va., he was the son of Clyde and Minnie Pearl Elliott Leeson. On Nov. 24, 1962, he married Margaret June Caskey in West Union.
Mr. Leeson was a construction worker with Valley Construction of Rock Island, Ill.
He enjoyed tinkering on his truck and around the house.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Jimmie Leeson of Wapello, Patrick Leeson of Hannibal, Mo., and Terry Leeson of Mansfield, Ohio; two stepsons, John Mills of Cambridge, Ohio, and Larry Mills of Fort Madison; one daughter, Karen Leeson of Wapello; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Weir & Kimzey Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, where family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m.
The graveside funeral for Mr. Leeson will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in White Oak Cemetery, rural Rome with the Rev. Gary VanNyhuis officiating. The procession to the cemetery will leave the funeral home at 1:10 p.m. Saturday.
A memorial has been established.
